wrapping up

Furniture and cabinets are shrouded in plastic, floors draped in folds of color-splattered canvas. Things a bit messy here, friends. Final painting has begun!

Only a few days remaining in this project of ours and then I’ll resume a more normal posting schedule here. I’ve appreciated so much your understanding and continued support even though I’d go missing for days and days on end. I’ll try to get a simple summer dessert out later today, but know better than to promise.

Again, I ‘m very grateful that you take time to visit me here, amidst the mess and real-lifeness. I SO appreciate your company!

May  your day be light and breezy! See you soon!

  2. Nearly there! You’ve done so well during all the work to pop into blogs, and write some of your own. Time soon to settle back and enjoy all that hard work and disruption 🙂

  5. Oh Spree, I certainly know where you are coming from…I’ve done this more times than I should admit. The end result will be so nice and after a while you will forget the dust and disruption. We all know what you are going through and definitely understand.

    • I think ms beaucoup that I must share photos of the kitchen this coming week. We’ve had yet another couple hitches in our giddyups this past couple days that will delay completion of our bathrooms (yet again), but hey, my bathrooms aren’t why people show up here, so let’s just get on with the cookin’ shall we?!

  12. I’m so excited on your behalf for your kitchen remodel to be done! That moment when everything is back in place, and you look around in admiration and ask yourself, “Why did we wait so long to do this?” is priceless! And the moment when you get out your measuring cups, and bowls and mixer and start baking and cooking again is even better! Looking forward to seeing what beautiful creations come out of your new kitchen!
